Comment Whenever you go to a third world country, the number of options for alternative transportation seems to go up exponentially. And they all seem to exclude Westerners by design. This little enclosed tuk-tuk like vehicle packs 7 or 8 people and there must be a system for getting from A to B but I have no idea what it is. They are all over the place in Kathmandu.
I had actually posted this once before to my Flickr account, but I think I prefer the way I have done it this time. I am using Remask2 a lot more now too, here I used it to ensure that Adjust wouldn't affect my main subject, the money taker.

Comment I don't know if it is possible to visit Sydney without seeing the famous opera house. I always walk out there on every trip and it's a magical place. I love to get a drink underneath this area in the picture, I love eating at the restaurants with a view of the place. At night, they light it up with moving images. You take a ferry from the docks over to Manly and you get an amazing view from a different perspective. It really is a centerpiece of the city. I have been out to Australia about 15 times in the last 4 years but I still have not managed to take the tour of the place. I really would like to and now that travel to the place is dwindling down, I might not have the chance. I hope I do though.

Comment One of the main purposes for my last trip to Seattle was to go on a weekend cruise with a friend from Microsoft and a large group of his friends and family. We left from Seattle and went up to Victoria and Nanaimo. It was a great trip. To get to the cruise I had to take the ferry from Bainbridge Island where my parents live. On the way over, I saw the boat I was going to be sailing on waiting at the port. It was wonderful finally being able to take one of these ships rather than just watching them leave.
This is a 3 image handheld HDR. It was processed in Photomatix, then tweaked with Topaz Adjust and Topaz DeNoise.

Comment The Fourth Avenue district of Tucson still has a running trolley car system. I don't know where it goes, since I have only walked past it, but its quite picturesque.
According to a comment from hotdamy2k on the Flickr page for this:
Right now it runs from the University Main Gate, down University to 4th, and now through the rebuilt underpass into downtown. The tracks are supposed to go all the way to the Rio Nuevo development, but that's gotten to be a really sore point around here...Rio No Va, as they say.
The trolley on 4th has actually only been in operation for a bit over fourteen years. The original trolley system shut down in 1931 and went down Stone, not 4th.
